“I went there 2 times if is not helpful at all and it is not worth it i am now 16 and I have to tell you that it is not good I will never be able to forget that environment and it will be a very hard thing to forget there are some good staff there but not many and they don’t care about helping us all they care about is their pay checks and i am tired I have been there 2 times as i said and there are stains on the floor when kids get really upset they put you in a box like room all white walls I seen it before I was never in there but I saw other kids go in there i highly do not recommend anyone to go there and for any reason it is very stressful for kids and they don’t care how we feel mentally so I would never send anyone there and they don’t care about us they just care about their paychecks so I hope that helps if you are thinking of sending your child there so I don’t think that anyone should go there and there are stains on the floor and they have no idea how much it cost are mental health and be aware that it does more harm than good and they need to be held accountable for their own actions to make us feel unsafe and put us in a room when we are mad screw that”

“Hi! I am 21 and I went here when I was 14! I have nothing good to say about this place 😊! The other 1 star reviews are absolutely correct. It was the worst experience I've had with treatment places such as this one. I went in there mentally unwell, left mentally unwell with honestly more problems than before. In my experience, there was yelling, cussing, and literal threats from patients, and the staff weren't much better either. Staff is not afraid to be verbally abusive and just overall unhelpful, and the staff being nice felt very much disingenuous. I was once supposed to go back to Prairie Care, and I was put on a waiting list. I was then removed because they didn't want me to come back. I can't say for how it is now, but honestly I wouldn't take the risk with sending anyone you love here. This specific Prairie Care should be replaced with a McDonald's, for it'd be better for my mental health than this place ever will be.”

“Good doctor, therapist was amazing, nurses and techs were good. It’s very difficult to get in anywhere to get adolescent mental health care services. They didn’t have a waiting list and took my child right away. Don’t let the other reviews deter you. We had a pretty good experience and they helped us when everywhere else had waiting lists months long. We are grateful for the services PrairieCare provides. I gave it 4 stars because the professionals we interacted with were great and you could tell most really cared, but care management was non-existent. There was zero communication from our social worker. Nothing was done on that end. It’s frustrating as a parent trying to navigate the system alone. It really would have helped immensely if there was more follow through.”

“Initial intake seemed great based off the information they went over for my teen to get us to sign the contract. Within a couple weeks it was very clear we were mislead about the help they would provide. We were told programs take 4-5 weeks which was going to run into the start of school. With 0 warning, after minimal communication we were asked if we want to be done. This made no sense since it was coming out of left field with no real chats about what has been going on. Then I find out this wasn't really doing anything for my child...... The way it went down was one of the most unprofessional things I have witnessed in my years. Maybe this should have come up after day 1, day 2, day 3 and so on. They left us starting school last second unprepared, with 0 real resources but did not forget to bill us for nothing. It's sad that there aren't better resources in the US for children, if you're desperate I would still look any other direction than Prairie Care. They see clients as $ not people who need help. Add on: I reached out to Prairie Care to share my concerns. After my chat with someone in Patient Advocate group I received a letter in the mail, not even a call back basically saying we did our part you need to pay your bill. I could not disagree more with the service provided but as a consumer what can you really do.”
