How likely are you to recommend Sagent Behavioral Health - Mendota Heights North?
“Leaving 2 stars as an average of our experience with Ellie (great) and Sagent intake (terrible). I would give the original Ellie Mental Health 4-5 stars: our providers for our children for therapy services has mostly been a great experience. Even the initial consult for therapy services and ADHD diagnosis was a great experience. There was hiccup finding the right provider for the child, but that's OK, sometimes you have to try to find a provider that works, and now we have an amazing one. Post Sagent acquistion: I'd give Sagent Behavioral Services a 1-star for new patients. We went through 3 rounds of rescheduling for a psych consult and were asked for a 4th: 1. Provider asked we change to a week or two out. Not a big deal, stuff happens. 2. The day before the 8 AM appointment, we get an email that the Zoom as moved to 1:30 PM. We can't make that due to work, so I call and reschedule. No times that work for us in the near future, so we ask if we can switch providers since this is an intake, and find one that works at the same agreed upon time slot this morning at 8 AM. 3. We join the Zoom this morning at the appointment time and are in the waiting room, she doesn't show up for 10 minutes, then we get a call from the scheduling line saying her Zoom isn't working and we need to reschedule. On top of all of this, they autocharge the copay before the appointment, so I had to call to ensure they refunded us. We'll be searching for a psych provider elsewhere which is really frustrating since our child's therapist is great and we would have preferred to stay in-house.”
“My counselor prefers not to be announced but she is great. I recommend her everyone. This is a facility is clean. The receptionists are very friendly. There are no rude experiences here. I talk about anything and pretty much everything. It is my time to talk and work through the things on my heart, pain situations present and past, sometimes in the future. I leave with advise sometimes. Sometimes I leave knowing I was able to get something out and off my chest.”
“Plan ahead notes: From Lexington Ave, turn onto Centre Point and go straight into the parking lot (not around the other side of the building). Go in the door with the Nystrom label, walk to the end of the hall and go right. Review: nice location, good therapists.”
“Walking into this clinic is like stepping onto the set of a bizarre one-act play called Obsessed with the Cuff. My appointments felt less like therapy and more like participating in a live experiment where vitals dictate the plot and I am merely the comic relief. Small worries were dismissed like stage props while minor hypotheticals were treated as heroic quests. Explanations relied heavily on vibes-based logic, which reassures roughly as much as a cardboard umbrella in a monsoon. At one point, I was asked to buy my own monitoring equipment and submit daily readings. I fully expected a dramatic soundtrack and confetti. Meanwhile, administrative chaos added its own unintentional slapstick with scheduling errors and missed bills. After leaving, a new primary care provider checked my vitals, confirmed I was healthy, and suggested a new clinician. We laughed, and my nervous system remained calm. Clearly, the problem was never me—it was the environment. If your fantasy is to star as an extra in someone else’s anxiety-themed performance while vitals receive all the applause, this clinic is perfect. Otherwise, preserve your sanity elsewhere. P.S. Their rebrand email is pure avant-garde chaos. New name, same story. Bravo.”
